In this interview, the author Khaled Hosseini talks about how ‘The Kite Runner’ is consider “the human side of a nation at war.” Khaled mentioned how many people in  Afghanistan look up to this book because it is full of true feeling of how many people felt during the war. In Afghanistan, the taliban banned the book for several years because of the image it sends out about them. Though ‘The Kite Runner’ is a fiction, the struggles, emotions and hardships that took place during this book is all true. These are all things people faced during the war.
